Guess I’m nuts too
“When my friend first told me she was going to join Kung Fu I thought she was nuts. Kung Fu to me has always been cheesy dubbed movies with short little bald men. But then she said she liked it and thought I might too, so I went down to the kwan and was thrown into my first introductory lesson, it was pretty cool.
Now, many months later here I am working towards a purple belt. Guess I’m nuts too.
I enjoying learning the art of Shou' Shu' because it’s helping me to have better control over my body (I’m kind of a klutz); it’s also helping to making me aware of my reactions to situations, and I’m feeling muscles I never even knew I had.
Every new lesson brings a new challenge and an opportunity for learning. While it’s frustrating trying to teach my body new ways to move, it’s rewarding when I achieve a new goal.
It’s always a pleasure going to Sheng Chi Kung Fu the establishment because it’s a friendly, laid back place, yet very focused on the art. It’s not a scary, uptight martial arts place. They make you feel welcome.”
