TOWN HALL MEETING
Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005
6 - 8 p.m.
Ryan Voorhees will be discussing his Spring Valley project and the proposed Valley Springs parkway. Your input is valued and the public is welcome to attend.
At Sheng Chi Kung Fu: 139 Main Street, Valley Springs. (Turn onto Jean Street from Hwy. 26 at Central California Bank)
When correcting learning problems, the one sure method to coordinating information between the left and right hemispheres of the brain is to have the student cross the vertical midline of the body with physical exercises. Often the left and right hemispheres do not communicate with each other properly. Or, the right brain dominant student might have a difficult time accessing the left brain hemisphere skills, such as words and phonics, speech, numbers and math, reasoning, linear thought, conscious control, and analysis.
"Sheng Chi's family atmosphere has embraced my daughter and has helped her to strive to be the best that she can be all the while building her self confidence and athletic skills."

“Hello Shun shifu and Shifu Liz,
It is Mr. Lee telling you that I am practicing my white folder. My wife is due any day now, so I probably won’t be back for a couple weeks. I miss practicing with Mr. Hule , he's great. but I’m “beating the …'' out of my Mr. BOB dummy,'' he's taking it like a maniken''. I'll be back to school as soon as I can.”

“Kind of interesting to take up Kung Fu at the age of 35 - I think I assumed that you had to start learning martial arts as a kid, or you'd never really get anywhere with it. I dunno. But I had just quit smoking and was absolutely determined to do something good for myself. Couldn't bear the thought of gossiping with a bunch of other women on the treadmills at Curves, so I showed up at Sheng Chi Kung Fu with my fingers crossed and Ben Gay in my back pocket.
What an amazing experience it's been so far!
“When my friend first told me she was going to join Kung Fu I thought she was nuts. Kung Fu to me has always been cheesy dubbed movies with short little bald men. But then she said she liked it and thought I might too, so I went down to the kwan and was thrown into my first introductory lesson, it was pretty cool.
Now, many months later here I am working towards a purple belt. Guess I’m nuts too.
